Duties

As an NTE Intern, your major duties may include:
  • Review incoming blocking and reject reports for completeness and accuracy and liaise with the appropriate financial institutions as necessary regarding issues as they arise.
  • Input incoming reports into Office of Foreign Assets Controls (OFAC) Compliance database.
  • Respond to inquiries submitted to OFACs Compliance call center by providing guidance regarding the appropriate treatment of a real-time transaction or general information on OFAC sanctions programs.
  • Assist with scanning and filing hard copies of reports submitted to OFAC as well as other miscellaneous office support and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Use word processing and spread sheet software as well as open source research on the internet to produce and analyze documents.
