Spring 2017 Internship: US Naval Research Laboratory

The US Naval Research Laboratory, Adversarial Modeling and Exploitation Office (AMX), is seeking an intern for Spring 2017, with the possibility of beginning the internship in late Fall 2016 pending background check. The AMX has a number of ongoing research projects related to the intersection of defense, homeland security, and law enforcement.  This internship will focus on an ongoing training program for police and military personnel supporting peace operations.  Tasking related to other ongoing AMX projects may also occur. The intern will be working onsite at the US Naval Research Laboratory in Washington DC.


Length of Internship: 1 or more semesters

First Intake: Spring, 2017, possibly late Fall 2016

Hours per Week: TBD, but students should be available to work 10-20 hours per week

Qualifications: Applicants should be self-motivated, responsible, and have an interest in the subject matter. We are seeking an individual with excellent writing skills and an academic background in criminal justice. A specific interest and/or background in psychology or comparative criminal justice would also be beneficial.  Applicants must be a United States Citizen, have a minimum of 56 cumulative credits, and a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.  Applicants will undergo a background check.
