Maryland Anxiety Center Summer Internship

Maryland Anxiety Center
 Summer Internship

The Maryland Anxiety Center has openings for undergraduate interns for the Summer 2017 term. Interns attend weekly training seminars (2 hours) as well as participating in weekly staff meetings (2 1/2 hours) and have the opportunity to sit in on supervision with licensed clinicians (1 hour). In addition, they will be able to watch mock intake sessions and participate in mock exposure and response prevention activities. Students learn about what anxiety and related disorders are; how they are treated; participate in researching and developing presentations to the public for educational and advocacy purposes; what it's like to work in private practice; and more. Interns are expected to be interested in pursuing a clinical career in the treatment of anxiety. Students who are unsure of their desired specialization or research vs clinical track are discouraged from applying. We also expect interns to be professional, independent and motivated to learn.

To apply, please send a copy of your resume and cover letter directly to The USG Career Services .
