Volunteer Opportunity: Truancy Prevention Program

There are a few volunteer opportunities currently available with the Truancy Prevention Program. The commitment for the fall semester is 10-weeks and is scheduled to start in the first week of October and end in December just before the holiday. Mentoring is once a week, and each session lasts about 2 hours. Tutoring is also once a week, and each session is an hour.

Here are the current needs for Fall 2017:

Mentor:
Gaithersburg Middle School (priority)
2 Teachers Way, Gaithersburg, MD 20877
Mondays at 1:30 pm
and
Briggs Chaney Middle School
1901 Rainbow Drive, Silver Spring MD 20905
Mondays at 12:30 pm

Tutor:
Argyle Middle School
Thursdays at 3:30-4:30 pm
and
A. Mario Loiederman Middle School
12701 Goodhill Rd.
Silver Spring, MD 20906
