Private Detective Agency Seeking Applicants for Full Time and Part Time Positions


A Maryland based private detective agency is seeking applicants for full and part time positions.  All applicants start as part-time; full-time positions are earned based on performance.  The agency specializes in insurance fraud and related investigations.  Below are some details about the agency and the position.
§ The agency works for doctors, hospitals, defense attorneys, and insurance carriers
§ The position is primarily responsible for conducting video surveillance of individuals who have filed a claim alleging injury
§ The agency is willing to train new employees from the ground up
§ The agency will supply all equipment necessary to complete the job
§ The training period is three weeks and during the training period new employees will learn how to set up and conduct mobile surveillance and obtain video evidence
§ The initial three week training program is free and the agency does not collect any fees, but the applicant is not on payroll and will not be paid for the training
§ Once the applicant has successfully completed the three week course, they will be added to payroll and training will continue
§ Full time, first year investigators will have a compensation package in the mid 40’s to low 50’s
§ Applicants must have a reliable vehicle that blends in
§ The applicant must be able to work at a variety of times
§ The applicant must be able to work independently

Congressman Elijah Cummings’ Washington, D.C. office is looking for three interns to fill the Fall internship positions.  If you are interested, or know of other students who may be interested in interning for Congressman Cummings, please send a cover letter, resume and a writing sample of 2-3 pages to courtney.miller@mail.house.govThe firm deadline for submission is July 21, 2015 by close of business at 5:30pm. Although the internship is unpaid, you will gain invaluable experience. 

Fall Mayor's L.E.A.D. DC Internship Program


Offers undergraduate and graduate students and recent college graduates the chance to gain valuable work experience in one of our departments. We are looking for smart and hard-working individuals who are interested in gaining invaluable public service experience with the Executive Office of the Mayor of Washington, DC. The program offers weekly meetings with the district’s top officials including: Deputy Mayors, Directors, and Chief of Staffs. Interns will also have the opportunity to produce their own public policy platform on health, economic development, safety, and/or transportation issues.

Students in the past have worked in the following departments:
·         Mayor's Office of Community Affairs
·         Mayor's Office of Communication 
·         Mayor's Office of Women and Policy Initiatives Deputy
·         Deputy Mayor for Greater Economic Opportunity
·         Office of Federal and Regional Affairs
·         Office of the Secretary
·         Office of the City Administrator Office of Budget and Planning
·         Office of General Counsel

The program will last for 12 weeks from September 14th to December 4th. Interns will be accepted on a rolling basis.
