Bright Futures 'Unpaid Internship' Scholarship Available for Spring 2016 Bright Futures 'Unpaid Internship' Scholarship Spring 2016 Application Now Open www.Careers.umd.edu/Scholarships Deadline to apply: Monday, February 8, 2016 The Bright Futures 'Unpaid Internship' Scholarship awards students with need-based scholarships ranging from $250-$1,250 to help offset expenses incurred during unpaid internships. Eligible Candidates All registered University of Maryland, College Park undergraduate students returning to campus for the fall 2016 semester, who have an internship for spring 2016, are eligible to apply. Graduating seniors (May 2016 & August 2016) are not eligible. Preference will be given to juniors and seniors and to those who have not previously received an award.  In order for a student's internship to qualify for funding support, it must satisfy the following criteria: § Unpaid on-campus or off-campus internship with a non-profit organization or government agency § Offered during the spring and completed by Friday, May 20, 2016 § Supervised by a professional in the organization  To Apply: www.Careers.umd.edu/Scholarships Submission Deadline: Monday, February 8, 2016 at 5:00 PM Questions? Federal Bureau of Prisons - Paid Pathways Internship

Students interested in applying should create a profile and resume on USAJOBS prior to the announcement coming out.  The announcement will close after the first 50 applicants, so it may be open for a short period of time.  Students should be checking USAJOBS for the announcement each morning and afternoon.
