Spring 2023 Equity Incubator Cohort Application

The Equity Incubator is an 8-week entrepreneurship program that will help you turn your idea into a viable business, or help you develop your existing business even more. 

As a member of the cohort, you will receive:

• In-person weekly skills workshops
• 1-1 meetings with entrepreneur mentors
• $2,000 stipend to work on your business
• Participation in a pitch competition for thousands of dollars in funding

Program dates: 

February 1st - March 22nd, 2023
Wednesdays 5:30-7:30pm

Job description:
In this position, the Secured Space Operator will serve as the communication hub for incidents that require an Emergency Services Unit (ESU) response. The Secured Space Operator will monitor internal communications platforms including but not limited to radio and chatroom platforms to maintain situational awareness of security-related incidents. The primary focus will be to gather, record, and disseminate information to all security personnel and stakeholders in a timely manner to ensure a quick response. This position is part of a 24/7, 365-day operation, which requires flexibility to work all shifts and assist the team with overtime when needed.

• A student who is computer savvy and can work (2) days/week with our I.T. unit
• A spanish-speaking student I can assign to our Gang unit for (2) days/week.

House of Ruth job for Recent Grads

 Legal Advocate (for recent grads): House of Ruth Maryland, a comprehensive domestic violence program, has a legal advocate position available.  The position is located in the Montgomery County courthouse.  This is an entry level position and training will be provided.  The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 - 4:30.  The position is on-site and cannot be performed remotely.  The starting salary is $46,000. Preference is given to candidates who are bilingual in Spanish and English.  There is a 5% salary differential for a candidate who passes the Spanish proficiency test.  Anyone who is interested should email their resume and cover letter to me at dlennig@hruthmd.org.
