Department of Homeland Security (DHS) 2015 HS-STEM Summer Internships
10-week research experiences are offered at: Argonne, Berkeley, Livermore, Los Alamos, Oak Ridge, Pacific Northwest, and Sandia National Laboratories; as well as at Homeland Security Studies and Analysis Institute, Coast Guard Research and Development Center, Customs and Borders Protection Laboratories and Scientific Services, Domestic Nuclear Detection Office, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Naval Research Laboratory, Engineer Research and Development Center, National Security Technologies Remote Sensing Laboratory, Transportation Security Laboratory, and more. Areas of research: engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological / life sciences, environmental science, emergency and incident management, social sciences, and more. U.S. citizenship required Undergraduate students receive a $6,000 stipend plus travel expenses. Graduate students receive a $7,000 stipend plus travel expenses. C4T Open Position: Northrop Grumman Security Analyst

Job Duties:
Develops and administers security requirements for
classified/proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Assists with
computer security audits, account creation, configurations, and assessments.
Studies and implements federal security regulations applicable to company
operations. Obtains rulings and customer interpretations in order to comply
with government requirements. Prepares manuals outlining regulations.
Establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for
granting personnel and visitor access to restricted records and materials.
Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates
security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action.Here’s

The Professional Development Program offers the opportunity to
experience several different job assignments before making a commitment to
remain in a particular position. Requirements for this Program include an
overall GPA of 3.3/4.0 or higher and U.S. citizenship is required.
