Dear Program Directors,

Just want to send you a friendly reminder to please inform all of your current and new students to submit the USG Scholarship Application.  The priority deadline to submit the USG Scholarship Application was June 30^th, however we are still accepting applications through August 1^st.  Please copy and paste the following message to your students.

 "CURRENTLY ACCEPTING: Fall 2015 USG GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION 
In addition to federal and state grants awarded on the basis of financial need, various private scholarships are available for students enrolled in programs at USG as provided by our Board, local businesses, foundations, community organizations and individual donors. APPLY TODAY!!! For more information please visit www.shadygrove.umd.edu/scholarships or email usg-scholarships@umd.edu. Fall Internship with Department of the Treasury

Fall Internship with Department of the Treasury The Department of the Treasury's Departmental Offices is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated students to serve as non-paid student volunteers to assist in the performance of its mission. From August 31, 2015 through December 11, 2015, students will be exposed to the Federal work environment and will learn about the mission and the roles and responsibilities of the Department of the Treasury.  Departmental Offices is comprised of divisions headed by Assistant Secretaries and Under Secretaries who are primarily responsible for policy formulation and overall management of the Treasury Department. These offices include: § Executive Offices of the Secretary of the Treasury § Domestic Finance § Economic Policy § General Counsel § International Affairs § Legislative Affairs § Management/Chief Financial Officer § Public Affairs § Tax Policy § Terrorism and Financial Intelligence  § Treasurer Students are required to select up to three program offices from the list above.
