Howard County Police Department Info Session (in College Park)

The Howard County Police Department is hosting an information sharing event to offer insight on the steps to becoming a police officer or police cadet in Howard County.

At this event, HCPD staff will provide information on the following topics:
- Basic facts of Howard County, Maryland and the Howard County Police Department
- An overview of the requirements, disqualifications, and hiring process
- An overview of the physical ability test to include tips and suggested exercises to improve an individual’s performance on the physical ability test
- A general Question & Answer session to conclude the event

We are looking for undergraduate and graduate student volunteers to tutor GED students once weekly in one of 7 correctional facilities.

  • Utilizes various software applications to create and edit a variety of correspondence.
  • Receives, reviews and distributes all incoming correspondence.
  • Performs administrative filing for the office and disseminates changes according to procedures.
