Graduating in December? Buy your regalia during the Grad Fair! The University Book Center will be hosting a Grad Fair from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM on October 30 & 31 and honoring a $10 off discount on your regalia. This is the only way to guarantee the University Book Center has the correct size and style for your big day.

If you are unable to attend Grad Fair because of location, internships, etc, you may order your regalia online! Because it is a vendor site, it will not be applicable for the discount at Grad Fair. Only complete packages will be available for purchase online.

Human Trafficking Film Screening 10/24/19 (in College Park)


You are invited to join the UMD SAFE Center and Men Can Stop Rape at a human trafficking film screening and panel discussion at the University of Maryland campus. On October 24th at 7 p.m., we will be hosting a viewing of Nameless  a documentary about child sex trafficking in the Washington, D.C. area. Following the screening at the Edward St. John Learning & Teaching Center, we will hear expert testimonies from a few of the film's interviewees during a live panel discussion.

The Federal Audit Clearinghouse is an area of the U.S. Census Bureau which collects and disseminates audit data on behalf of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for non-federal entities such as states, city/county governments, universities, and nonprofit organizations which spend over $750,000 in federal grant dollars in a single year. Major Duties:

  • Learn FAC IT systems and data
  • Attend meetings where you will be exposed to team interaction and decision making in a professional office environment
  • Update user manuals, guidance, and other tools and documents 
  • Work with staff to translate customer needs into system requirements, change requests, and system enhancements
  • Learn to write test scripts to test system requirements, and use tracking software to record and track system defects and test results
  • Learn to study security logs for potential system breaches or suspicious user behavior
  • Assist management with reports, document preparation, presentation development, etc.





Desired Skills and Experience:



  • Experience with a variety of internet browsers and basic Microsoft Office and PDF software
  • Experience using database software and/or statistical software (desired, but not required)
  • Ability to analyze problems and effectively communicate solutions, both orally and in writing
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Highly motivated, self-starting, and team-oriented
