IsraAID just opened applications for its summer internship program. IsraAID is a disaster relief and community development organization that is non-governmental, apolitical, and non-religious. 60% of IsraAID's staff come from the local communities they serve, and the remainder are a mix of religious, racial, national, and ethnic backgrounds. The application can be found here.
Interns spend the summer at one of IsraAID's 20 international project sites, including Greece and Berlin (refugee crisis), Nepal (earthquake), Puerto Rico (hurricane), and the Philippines (tsunami-relief). All costs for the summer are covered. This is a great opportunity to gain international experience. Students from all majors and backgrounds are encouraged to apply. IsraAID project areas include Mental Health and Psychosocial Support; Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene; Women's Empowerment; Youth Leadership; Art, Dance, and Music Therapy; and Agriculture. Other useful intern skills include writing, communication, marketing, graphic design, and administrative skills. Any questions can be directed to ajacobshapiro@gmail.com . |
