Paid Research Opportunity in the School of Public Health
The Woodlawn Project at the University of Maryland School of Public Health has several openings for paid research assistants for a study on the health and wellbeing of a cohort of African American adults. This large-scale, NIH-funded study has been ongoing since 1966, and we are now contacting approximately 1,000 study participants to complete an Age 60 telephone interview. We are looking for motivated, responsible, detail-oriented students who are able to commit to working with us for 2021-2022 academic year. Research assistants must be very comfortable making phone calls.
The positions are open to both undergraduate and graduate students. Tuition remission is not provided.
Primary Responsibilities: Locating study participants and completing 90-minute phone interviews. Engaging in continuous quality assurance meetings/trainings.
Hours per Week: Approximately 15 hours.
How to Apply: Please complete the application. Any questions about applying can be sent to Brittany Bugbee at bbugbee@umd.edu.
