If you are a motivated college senior or graduate student looking to contribute your unique insights, skills, and talents in securing the homeland, then the FLETC is looking for you! The FLETC's College Intern Program (CIP) will provide you with the unique opportunity to gain on-the-job experience within a world-class law enforcement training environment. Interns are encouraged to avail themselves of everything the FLETC has to offer while simultaneously providing high-caliber services to our organization.

The CIP summer session will begin on Monday, May 16, 2016, and end on Friday, August 5, 2016.
All FLETC CIP internships are unpaid. College credit may be received upon the successful completion of the session (at the discretion of the intern's educational institution).

Duties
Students elect at the time of application to participate in either a law enforcement or non-law enforcement internship.
Law Enforcement Internship: Designed for students who are interested in a career in law enforcement. Participants are afforded opportunities to audit the world-class training offered by the FLETC. The intern will be assigned a mentor from one of the FLETC training divisions. Interns will spend 50 percent of their time auditing basic or advanced training programs; the remaining half of their time will be spent working on meaningful training-related research and writing projects under the guidance of their mentor.
Non-Law Enforcement Internship: Designed for students who have a desire to work in the public sector. Under the guidance of a mentor, participants receive on-the-job experience in a professional work environment focused on FLETC business fields. Interns will be assigned to work with FLETC staff on projects and assignments that cover a broad range of FLETC business operations.

Key Requirements
- You must be a U.S. citizen.
- You must successfully pass a background investigation.
- You must possess a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- You must be at least a part-time undergraduate senior or graduate student.
