Youth Advocacy Summer Internship with the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (TFK) is a leader in the fight to reduce tobacco use and its devastating consequences in the United States and around the world.  By changing public attitudes and public policies on tobacco, we strive to prevent kids from smoking, help smokers quit and protect everyone from secondhand smoke.  Job Description and Qualifications: TFK is a prominent non-profit advancing tobacco-control public policy throughout the world and offers a great platform for students looking to gain hands-on experience.  The Youth Advocacy Intern assists with both programmatic and administrative projects. The position works directly with the Youth Advocacy team and helps plan and execute youth involvement in our annual youth symposium (July 2016) and support additional youth advocacy projects, including the Youth Advocacy training program. This internship is based in Washington, D.C. and reports to the Youth Advocacy Manager.   Duties include: Assisting in gearing up for the July Youth Symposium, Assisting in the development and implementation of the Youth Advocacy training program, Supporting additional Youth Advocacy related projects as needed. Successful candidates for these positions must demonstrate attention to detail, creativity, responsibility, strong writing skills, and an ability to handle multiple tasks with aggressive deadlines. The dates of the internship: June through August 2016, not to exceed 29 hours a week.
