We play a vital role in protecting the United States from espionage and counterterrorism. Our mission is to disseminate information from the FBI files in response to name check requests received from over 70 federal agencies.
The information provided by NNCP, is essential to national security interests. Our customers rely on this information to adjudicate matters resulting in but not limited to:
• Security clearances
• Government employment and appointment
• Issuance of an immigration benefit such as naturalization or visas
• Attendance at White House functions
Research Analysts access records that contain investigative, administrative, personnel and general information. Searches performed by our analysts are unique and cannot be duplicated by any other organization because the FBI’s Central Record System is strictly for the use of FBI personnel.
Qualifications:
• Research/analytical skills
• Strong computer skills
• Writing comprehension
• Ability to conduct research with accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and establish priorities while collaborating with colleagues
• Interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality policies
Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA from an accredited college or university. Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills are also required to excel in this position.
