Spring Legal Internship Opportunities Are you considering law school, want to become an attorney, or just want to gain experience working in the criminal justice system? You can get experience working in the legal field as an undergraduate! Check out these opportunities for Spring 2022 internships. Fall and Spring internships are a great way to stay involved in your community and complement your courses. Another perk is that Fall & Spring internships tend to be less competitive because you are (usually) only competing with other local candidates! Applications will open early September and the deadline to apply is November 21, 2021. State’s Attorney’s Office, Frederick, MD, Deadline: November 1 To apply, submit an application and your resume and cover letter online here. One letter of recommendation is also required and can be addressed and sent to Will Cockey, Communications Specialist at wcockey@statesattorney.us. The Spring application deadline is November 1 Maryland Office of the Public Defender, Deadline: Rolling application To apply, fill out this Google form AND send a resume and cover letter to opd.volunteer@maryland.gov Montgomery County Circuit Court, Deadline: Rolling application To apply for an internship, you must submit a completed application packet via email to QCinternship@mcccourt.com. The application packet must include the program application, resume, and at least one letter of recommendation. Virginia Defenders Indigent Defense Commission To apply, students should contact the individual office directly to verify internship availability and application requirements.
