Montgomery County Police Cadet Program

Purpose
The Cadet Program has been established to provide qualified individuals, who are interested in becoming a Police Officer with the Montgomery County Department of Police, first-hand experience in law enforcement.
Description
Cadets will be assigned (2) semester rotations (Fall/Spring) per school year in various units, for a maximum of two years. This will provide the Cadet with an opportunity to learn about the Department and gain on- the- job training. Cadets participating in the program receive a salary of $16.75 per hour.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be 18 years old
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Equivalent
- Valid Drivers License
- US Citizen
Program Requirements
Cadets must be enrolled in a College Curriculum Full Time and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Cadets will work 20 hours per week from September through May with flexible hours to accommodate class schedule.
