UMD Department of Public Safety- Security Monitor Positions Open The Security Operations Center (SOC) is currently hiring part-time security monitors.  SOC is a unit within the Technology Services Bureau of the University of Maryland, Department of Public Safety. The SOC is tasked with monitoring the extensive security camera system currently consisting of over 500 cameras that are located both on the interior and exterior of campus buildings, as well as at various locations around the City of College Park.  SOC is close to campus.  Offers a felxible schedule with a 24/7 operations center and pays $10.25 per hour.
