The City of Alexandria, Office of The City Attorney is currently seeking a Legal Intern. A Legal Intern position involves:
- Performing legal and factual research;
- Preparing legal memoranda, participating in the office's program for collecting civil penalties that have been assessed against violators of the city code (this work includes some courtroom activity);
- Assisting in the collection of city claims against third parties; and
- Assisting in the office's child abuse and neglect work in the Alexandria Juvenile Court.
