The Outreach Intern will support the Strategic Advocacy Lead in the development and implementation of an effective outreach strategy taking into account the following key strategic partners: UN Agencies, UN Women National Committees, HeForShe Supporters and other Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). S/he will support the implementation and day-to-day management of UN Women’s HeForShe campaign. We are seeking someone who is organized to work effectively, relishes the opportunity to work with colleagues from around the world, and has excellent interpersonal skills. The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment, work well in a team setting, be able to think creatively and have an understanding of campaigns.

Duties and Responsibilities
|
- Critical administrative support to the Strategic Advocacy Lead;
- Support preparation of regular high level meetings with stakeholders;
- Assist with planning of HeForShe events nationally and globally;
- Support team with a particular focus on youth engagement
- Support management of the HeForShe outreach grid;
- Think creatively about future outreach opportunities.

Required Skills and Experience
|
Education:
- The intern must have studied International Relations, Political Science, Gender Studies, Humanities or another similar subject at the university level. Master’s or Ph.D. degree preferred;
- Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent); Have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation
Language:
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English are required; Working knowledge of another UN language a distinct advantage.
Interns are not financially remunerated by UN Women. Application Information:
