Virtual Study Abroad Scholarship - Pell Grant Recipients
Are you a Pell Grant recipient and U.S. citizen planning to participate in a virtual international program in 2021 or an in-person program in summer 2021 or fall 2021?
You may be eligible to apply for the U.S. State Department’s Gilman Scholarshi p, which provides up to $5,000 for study abroad and up to $8,000 if you are studying a critical need language.
In the last two years, 77 UMD students have won Gilman Scholarships, winning a total of $245,500!

DEADLINE TO APPLY: October 6, 2020
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible, students must be: a U.S. citizen, a Pell Grant recipient, undergraduate (includes all majors), and participating in their program for at least 21 days, excluding travel to and from the host country.
