UMD Students are Invited: U.S. Department of State Student Foreign Policy Symposium The Hispanic Employee Council of Foreign Affairs Agencies (HECFAA). Here at HECFAA, we work to promote the recruitment, retention, and career advancement of Hispanics. We invite you and your organization to our symposium, on October 14, 2021. We are hosting this event in collaboration with the Department of State’s Bureau of Global Public Affairs during Hispanic Heritage Month because we are targeting Hispanics and LatinX students that are interested in pursuing a career in international affairs. There is going to be an opportunity at the end of the symposium for attendees to meet with recruiters and network within the department. Thursday, October 14, 2021 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. EDT 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. EDT (Networking Event) Registration  Who Can Attend? The primary audience for this symposium are Hispanic or Latinx students; students studying at Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) and emerging HSIs in the United States.  Professors, faculty, and staff at institutions of higher learning.  Universities and Community Colleges are encouraged to attend.
