En Voz Alta - Peace & Security Mentorship Program for Latinas
Women's Action for New Directions (WAND) is a nonprofit that promotes diplomacy, demilitarizes U.S. foreign policy, and elevates women’s voices in conversations about national security. WAND has a track record of amplifying women’s voices over its 35+ years of existence. They know the obstacles women face in the national security field and they also know that women are key to solving our nations’ toughest challenges. WAND works to promote diplomacy and demilitarize U.S. foreign policy, elevate women’s voices in conversations about national security policy, and educate and engage women legislators and Members of Congress on peace and security issues.
WAND’s peace and security mentor program, En Voz Alta, is now accepting applications for the fourth cohort of their mentor program. En Voz Alta pairs Latina mentors and allies from the peace and security community with early-career professionals and students attending undergraduate/graduate school in the U.S. to help strengthen the pipeline of candidates entering the field.
