 FAO Schwarz Social Impact Fellowship

Each year a new cohort of FAO Schwarz Fellows begins paid, two-year assignments with leading nonprofit organizations that are all deeply valued in their communities and have a strong record of delivering consistent results and high-quality services. Host organizations have a proven commitment to addressing critical issues of social inequity. 

Fellows deepen their knowledge and understanding of relevant social issues, work directly with host communities, and lead strategic projects that strengthen the host organization’s capacity and impact.  After two years, Fellows are well prepared for successful careers in the social impact sector.

The FAO Fellowship Program will sponsor seven two-year Fellowships in social impact at six nationally recognized nonprofits. The organizations selected this year are:

• Audubon Mid Atlantic (Philadelphia)
• The Clay Studio (Philadelphia)
• The Food Project (Boston)
• Museum of the City of New York (New York City)
• NYC Audubon (New York City)
• Breakthrough (Greater Boston)

The fellowship includes:

• Service work combined with strategic projects that deepen the Fellow's understanding of social challenges and prepare them for graduate programs and social justice leadership careers
• Professional development opportunities such as retreats, mentoring, and cohort experiences
• Connection to an extensive network of alumni Fellows and social impact leaders
