Description:
The Parent, Infant, Early Childhood Program at the Institute (a national training, technical assistance, evaluation, policy, systems design, and finance center that is focused on children's behavioral health) in the UMB SSW seeks a Research Project Coordinator, responsible for: coordinating evaluation activities for federally funded System of Care grants and other federally and locally funded grants/contracts; data collection, entry and maintenance, project evaluation, meeting scheduling, and research subject interfacing across a variety of early childhood mental health projects; serving as a point of contact for study participants, research personnel and support staff, and external partners; conducting complex work and contributing to measurable team objectives; adhering to good research practices, study protocols, and applicable regulations; using discretion to provide solutions to issues; and performing work that is varied and that does not follow prescribed procedures or processes.
Responsibilities:
-Data collection, entry, and management
project coordination including communication with internal and external partners
-Supporting the PIEC Directors and team in grants/contracts implementation and program evaluation
Adhering to rigorous research practices
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology, public health, or another discipline appropriate to position required. Master’s Degree preferred.
-Prior experience in research and evaluation preferred.
-Knowledge and experience with early childhood preferred.-Ability to understand and utilize good research practices.
-Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts between varying groups.
-Skill in utilizing relevant PC and data applications. Skill in statistical interpretation and basic data analysis as well as spreadsheet and database software applications. Skills in web-based data collection systems including data extraction and reporting.-Ability to work cooperatively with others and demonstrates professional, ethical, respectful, and courteous behavior when interacting with others.
