HSI is currently seeking Student Volunteer Interns for Fall 2018.* HSI’s Student Volunteer Program (SVP) provides unpaid training opportunities related to your academic program. Additionally, our program allows you to explore career options as well as develop your personal and professional skills.
As a student volunteer, you will be exposed to the HSI work environment and will learn about the mission and responsibilities of various components and programs. Students are involved in professional projects and work activities related to their academic studies. These activities vary from administrative assistance, to project planning, to assisting with special projects.

Our Student Volunteer internships provide numerous opportunities that will challenge your analytical and leadership skills. Candidate qualifications include:
- U.S. citizenship;
- Taking at least a half-time academic course load in an accredited high school or trade school, technical or vocational school, 2 year or 4 year college/university, graduate or professional school;
- Maintaining through graduation a 2.0 GPA; and
- Passing a background investigation
