The School of Public Policy and the Do Good Institute have launched a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership. The Certificate is designed for students who want to hone their skills in leadership and management; strategy; fundraising; and financial management. Students delve into the challenges facing today’s leaders and develop the tools and experiences needed to create positive change in their organizations and their fields.
Given the nonprofit sector is the third largest workforce in the United States, the Certificate provides students with a competitive edge in the job market and our alumni have gone on to work with an impressive range of organizations including Share Our Strength, Teach for America, Fund for Educational Excellence, Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, The Nature Conservancy, Partnership for Public Service, United Way for the National Capital Area, Wells Fargo Foundation, Clark Foundation, and many others. The Certificate can be completed in as little as nine months and courses begin this fall. Applications are due this summer and the priority deadline for Fellowships is June 30, 2018. More information on courses and faculty members can be found on our website and in the attached flier. We also have fellowship funding available. Questions can be directed to the Chief Program Officer of the Do Good Institute, Sara Gallagher, at sara@umd.edu. |
