Polaris is currently hiring for several short-term, part time positions to help in the creation and execution of the National Survivor Study. For this position as Outreach Coordinator, they will be hiring multiple individuals and some with Spanish and Mandarin fluency (in speaking and writing/reading). Outreach Coordinator:
The Outreach Coordinator will manage an outreach strategy to survivor leaders, anti-human trafficking professionals, and aligned organizations to leverage their networks to engage survivors to participate from many previously under-represented groups. The Outreach Coordinator will be the key point of contact between community leaders and the NSS team. The ideal candidate is comfortable in an extremely fast-paced and dynamic environment and is a self-starter who has excellent attention to detail and organizational skills as well as a drive to excel. The Outreach Coordinator is an effective communicator, can build relationships with ease, is passionate about the fight to eradicate human trafficking, and has a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a group. Their responsibilities will include working closely with Polaris’s Survivor Empowerment Initiative and managing outreach to a variety of partners, developing outreach materials to reach out to different stakeholders in multiple languages, and managing outreach to a database of interested potential participants at different stages of the data collection process. English fluency is required, Spanish and Mandarin are preferred. There are no formal education requirements for this position and it is more important to have experience engaging and doing outreach with survivors, immigrant workers, and other related communities. Those with lived experience are preferred, but it is not required. This position requires approximately 5-20 days Level of Effort (LOE), from June through December 2021.
