Position Summary: This position is responsible for the day-to-day support of non-attorney services to victims of crime.
Primary Duties and Essential Functions:
- Conducts client intakes to develop individual needs assessments
- Provides direct services to victims of crime including: crisis intervention, follow-up contact, court accompaniment, advocacy, and service referrals
- Provides ongoing case management services including, but not limited to: in-person meetings, advocacy with police, State's Attorney and other community resources to victims of crime
- Coordinates with victim service agencies statewide through community collaboration
- Coordinates intra-agency services with MCVRC legal and clinical staff
- Collaborates with MCVRC attorneys to address the legal needs of each client
- Assists in event planning with events relating to victims’ rights and services
- Assists in maintaining a case management system by ensuring accurate record keeping and data entry of assigned client’s cases and files.
- Assists with grant reporting by ensuring accuracy of data
- Attends meetings as a representative of MCVRC
- Provides outreach on behalf of MCVRC
- Supports agency mission
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a human service related field preferred (psychology, human services, sociology, criminal justice or related field)
- 1 year experience with victim services preferred
- Fluent verbal and written Spanish required
- Reliable transportation required
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Programs required
