The Office of US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is seeking a detail-oriented, highly-organized individual to serve as Legislative Correspondent assisting on the judiciary, civil rights, housing, and women’s rights portfolio. Successful candidates will demonstrate outstanding interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, and be able to prioritize and follow through on multiple tasks in a high pressure/fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to drafting constituent correspondence, conducting policy research, drafting briefing memos, and meeting with constituent groups. Candidates must be able to exercise sound judgment and maintain professionalism at all times. Applicants with previous policy experience or demonstrated interest in the portfolio are strongly encouraged to apply. New York ties a plus.
