Participate in CHCI’s inaugural Pitch Competition: COVID-19 Recovery Investment Program featuring remarkable Latino leaders who have launched or grown local business and nonprofit efforts focused on COVID-19 recovery in Latino communities, all during a time of great hardship for the nation. CHCI’s first-ever pitch recognition is a celebration of the determined Latino spirit and the next generation of our community’s leaders. The Pitch Competition is part of CHCI’s 2020 Leadership Conference and 43rd Annual Awards Gala being held in September during Hispanic Heritage Month. Participants have an opportunity to compete in one of three categories; Entrepreneurship, Nonprofit and Young Changemaker. Competition judges will select one winner from each category awarding up to $5,000 for their project.  The application process is now open and the deadline is September 3, 2020, 5:00 pm EDT.   HOW IT WORKS Submit a COMPLETE application using the YouNoodle platform.  A team of judges will review your business/venture or offering. Your idea will receive a score for your pitch and business plan. Top-scored ventures will have their videos featured on CHCI’s Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM) website and social media as semi-finalists. #CHCIHHM20 Select pre-recorded pitch videos will be featured as finalists at Pitch Day on September 17, 2020. How will semi-finalists be featured? Semi-finalists will be announced on the CHCI HHM website the week of September 7-11th, 2020. Supporters and the public will be able to view pitch videos of semi-finalists. Snippets of select pitches will be chosen to be featured during Pitch Day on September 17th, during the CHCI 2020 Leadership Conference. What to expect at Pitch Day Finalists will present pitches live in front of a panel of judges. Pitch Day audience members can watch pitches by entrepreneurs and community leaders and celebrate their initiatives. Winners to be announced at the CHCI 2020 Leadership Conference.

Eligibility rules apply so please read the descriptions of each carefully and select the appropriate category that best fits your project before submitting your application. Only one application will be accepted per person per team.
