Fall 2020 Communications Intern - Tahirih Justice Center
The Tahirih Justice Center is a national, nonprofit organization that supports immigrant survivors of gender-based violence seeking safety and justice. Our holistic, interdisciplinary model for service combines free legal and social services with bridge-building policy advocacy, and research-based training and education. We amplify the voices of survivors in communities, courts, and Congress to create a world where women and girls enjoy equality and live in safety and with dignity.
As a Communications Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn about how nonprofit organizations leverage strategic communications to reach their policy advocacy, program, and fundraising goals. You’ll have a chance to support the Communications Team’s efforts in earned media and social media outreach, email communications and marketing, and more, while learning how we ensure external communications are survivor-centered, inclusive, and model cultural humility. You’ll have an opportunity to work with and learn from every member of Tahirih’s Communications Team, as well as members of our public policy and client services teams.
