On-Campus Research Opportunities for BSOS Students this Spring!
The Maryland Student Researchers (MSR) program is a database of on-campus research opportunities for undergraduates. It is designed to help undergraduates find research opportunities and to help faculty members find research assistants.
Check out the list of research opportunities** we've highlighted specifically for BSOS students on this Google Sheet. The departments include:
- African American Studies
- Anthropology
- Geographical Sciences
- Economics
- Government & Politics
- Hearing and Speech Sciences
- Neuroscience
- Psychology
Not sure how to get started?
Take time to review the guidance provided by the Feller Center and the Maryland Center for Undergraduate Research as you begin searching for MSR opportunities, and before you contact faculty to apply for a posted opportunity.
Ready to apply?
Reach out to the researcher using the contact email listed on the project you wish to join. Introduce yourself (briefly), explain why you want to join that particular project, and attach copies of a resume and unofficial transcript to the e-mail.
**Please note that this may not be an exhaustive list of BSOS research opportunities available at the University of Maryland. Almost all professors engage in research, and individual departments' websites will provide a more comprehensive list.
