UMD Law Fair--Wednesday, October 12th

 


The 
Pre-Law Advising Office is hosting the annual UMD Law Fair on Wednesday, October 12th from 11am to 2pm in the Stamp Student Union's Grand Ballroom. We are anticipating 80 schools in attendance!

Pre-registration is not required. Suggested attire is business casual but if it comes down to dressing up or not coming, students' presence is more important!

Public Safety Careers Fair

From serving our residents, to fighting fires, to protecting our communities — come learn about the many rewarding public safety careers available with Montgomery County Government (MCG) on Saturday, October 22, 2022. At the event, you’ll be able to meet our innovative public safety teams that are reimagining what it means to have a career in public safety. Departments represented at the fair will include the Police Department, Fire and Rescue Service Department, the Sheriff’s Office, and the Department of Correction and Rehabilitation. This is your opportunity to join the heroes who keep our Montgomery County neighborhoods welcoming and safe.

The CIA is an independent agency responsible for providing national security intelligence to senior US policymakers.  The Central Intelligence Agency's mission: We are the eyes and the ears of the nation and, at times, its hidden hand.  We accomplish the mission by:  collecting intelligence that matters; providing relevant, timely, and objective all-source analysis; conducting covert action at the direction of the President to preempt threats or achieve United States policy objectives.

 

Applicants must have US citizenship and the ability to successfully complete medical examinations and security procedures including a polygraph interview.  Applicants must apply on the website (www.cia.gov) in order to be considered for any position.

Apply to the Equity Incubator, a startup launch program for those with underrepresented gender, racial/ethnic, or other identities.


  • Apply as a team or individually

  • 8 weeks of mentoring and workshops

  • Early stage businesses are welcome to apply

  • Pitch to judges in a competition for cash prizes

The Office of International Affairs is pleased to offer the Universitas 21 (U21) Global Citizens program to a select group of 75 students.

During this three-week experiential online course, you will develop the necessary leadership skills to advance your understanding of the most pressing global challenges of our time. Connecting and collaborating with a cohort of students from across U21’s international network, you will design projects that prepare you to take rapid action on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), collaborate with diverse networks, challenge preconceptions, and live and maintain your values and integrity.


Participants will be awarded a Global Citizenship micro-credential from Common Purpose and U21, which demonstrates that they have the skills necessary to tackle complex global issues as internationally educated leaders.
