Deadline to Apply for the CCJS Honors Program - June 1

The deadline to apply to the CCJS Honors Program is quickly approaching!  All applications must be received by 4:00 PM on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.  The CCJS Honors Program is structured to enhance a student’s analytical skills, research capability, critical thinking, and writing ability.

Students who participate in our Honors Program experience the following benefits:
  • Smaller, discussion-based classes with no more than 20 students
  • One-on-one interactions with CCJS tenured faculty members
  • Ability to conduct independent research on a topic of your interest in the criminal justice field
  • Ability to develop and write your own thesis/research proposal and orally defend it to a committee of faculty and graduate students
  • A chance to stand out among roughly 900 CCJS majors when applying to internships, jobs, grad school, or law school
The above listed bullet points are just a few examples of the many benefits of participating in our Honors Program.  Students graduating from the CCJS Honors Program receive an Honors notation on their diplomas/transcripts, and have the opportunity to add a very unique experience to their resume.
