Vaccination Requirement for All UMD Students: Action Required

University of Maryland
July 30, 2021

Dear UMD Student,
The University System of Maryland requires all students to be vaccinated for COVID-19 for the 2021-2022 academic year. The University of Maryland (UMD) has announced that August 2 is the deadline for vaccination compliance.
To be a member of the UMD community this fall, you must confirm your COVID-19 vaccination status by Monday, August 2. You may request a vaccination exemption for medical or religious reasons. Failure to provide proof of vaccination or receive an approved exemption will prevent you from registering for courses for the Fall 2021 semester. Please take action now.
To confirm your vaccination status, or to request a vaccination exemption, go to the Keep Terps Safe portal. Any actions you take will be reflected in the university's systems after 7:30 a.m. the following morning.
You must have a University Directory ID and password to log in. To create your Directory ID, please go to identity.umd.edu. It may take up to two business days to access the Keep Terps Safe portal from the day you create your Directory ID.
If you no longer plan to attend UMD this fall, please complete this form.
You can also stay up-to-date on the university's latest COVID-19 related guidelines and requirements on our COVID-19 Information website or by emailing questions to healthconcerns@umd.edu.
Sincerely,
