Student Blogger Description

We are looking for University of Maryland College Park at Shady Grove undergraduate students who would be interested in sharing their experiences and perspective as a student through a UMCP at Shady Grove blog. If you would like to apply for a blogger position please submit a writing sample to kreid@umd.edu. The sample can be about the subject of your choice.

Student Blogger Qualities:

*Have a positive attitude and perspective about being a student at the University of Maryland College Park at Shady Grove.

*Possess a high level of maturity and good judgment.

*Possess leadership qualities.

*Able to work well with others.

*Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.

*Demonstrate strong writing skills.

*Have a sincere desire to assist prospective students as they are making educational choices.

*Be interested in sharing their own UMCP at SG student experiences and student perspectives

Responsibilities:

*Write scheduled bi-weekly 1-3 paragraph blog posts

*Attend blog check -in meetings which will be either in-person or virtual as needed. There will be an initial training and follow up face to face meetings as necessary.  

*Submit blog post to Admission Coordinator Karina Reid on time.

*Revise post if needed by scheduled due date.
