Full-Time Analyst Position


IMPAQ is seeking full-time entry-level Analyst to join the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Group within our Health Division. The Analyst will support projects focused on health care quality improvement and patient safety. The person hired will support national improvement and dissemination projects by performing activities that include: planning and facilitating improvement events, capturing and synthesizing project data, producing drafts of strategy and operations document sections, coordinating with project stakeholders and performing secondary research of published literature and web-based documents. The ideal candidate for this position will be well organized, very bright, have strong communication skills and be someone that wants to acquire a range of project management and research experiences before advancing to a higher-level position in consulting or health care or pursuing a graduate degree. 


Responsibilities
•Conduct qualitative and quantitative data cleaning and do rudimentary data analysis
•Prepare presentation-quality charts and tables to include in project reports

•Assist with writing and proof-reading project documents and Power Point presentations
•Coordinate with project stakeholders via phone and email
•Support the planning and execution of webinars and the production of web-based resources

•Conduct reviews of published literature and web resources to support project needs
•Provide logistical and coordination support for project activities
Qualifications

Education, Knowledge and Experience
•Demonstrated interest in quality improvement and a desire to make U.S. healthcare better
•Bachelor’s degree and undergraduate coursework in any major or majors that reflects academic rigor, the ability to think critically, write well and effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently
•0-3 years of research or project support experience related to healthcare
•Proven ability to perform secondary research and summarize research findings in well written documents

•Knowledge of or familiarity with data analysis using Excel, SAS, STATA, SPSS or another comparable program
Skills
•Excellent oral and written and interpersonal communication skills
•Strong organizational skills

•Ability to work independently and in a team environment
•Expertise in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
•Familiarity with SharePoint or other online file-sharing resources
•The ability and confidence to learn new skills and acquire content knowledge quickly and independently
