Volunteer Opportunities with CASA

September 11, 2018- Child Abuse and Neglect Training: Recognize. React. Report.On Monday, September 11, 2018, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm, Join CASA Prince George’s County in partnership with Prince George’s County Department of Health and Human Services for an interactive Child Abuse and Neglect Training. Participants will learn the signs, symptoms, and prevention techniques to end Child Sexual Abuse including mandated reporting for Prince George's County. Training will be held at the Prince George’s Plaza Community Center, 6600 Adelphi Road, Hyattsville, MD. A light dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. Seating is limited. RSVP to volunteer@pgcasa.org.


Thursday, September 17, 2018 - CASA Volunteer Information SessionCourt Appointed Special Advocates for Children Prince George's County, MD is hosting a Volunteer Information Session on Monday, September 17, 2018, 6:00 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. We are seeking, committed and compassionate individuals who want to serve as an advocate for children in foster care. The Information Session will be held at the Hyattsville Administrative Building, 4310 Gallatin Street, Hyattsville, MD 20772. Contact Montré Dupree, volunteer@pgcasa.org for additional information.


Saturday, October 13, 2018 - Pepco’s World of Wheels for CASA Prince George’s County Touch-a-Truck Family Festival
Mark your calendars now for #WOW4CASA 2018, Saturday, October 13, 2018, 10am- 2pm, DeMatha High School, Hyattsille, MD. Our 7th Annual Pepco World of Wheels for CASA will be a great event for families. Come out and explore a variety of vehicles and have fun while supporting Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)/Prince George’s County and helping to bring a voice to more children in foster care! Thank you to Council Member Deni Taveras for sponsoring admission. This event will be free the public.
