During their one-year service term, tutors receive training and support, a modest cost-of-living stipend, health insurance, and are eligible for SNAP benefits.  About Reading Partners Baltimore Reading Partners is changing the education landscape, mobilizing communities to provide the one-on-one reading support students need to read on grade level and reach their full potential. AmeriCorps members dedicate a year of service to make a tangible impact on students’ literacy development in Baltimore—members recruit and train community volunteers, manage reading centers in elementary schools, or provide one-on-one support to students.
