It is my pleasure to announce the launch of our new scholarship management tool, Scholarship Universe!
This sophisticated scholarship matching solution optimizes the opportunity for our newly admitted and current students to search and apply for external and internal scholarships, while enabling meaningful improvements to our scholarship management and donor relations processes.
Enrollment Management has partnered with University Relations in bringing this modernized product to our campus, and we’re excited to roll out the first phase of its implementation next week. This first step will allow our students to securely explore and apply for external (those outside of UMD) scholarships. Once the system goes live, the Office of Student Financial Aid will notify our students and will provide them with the specific details on how to use the tool.
The next phase of implementation of Scholarship Universe is being planned for early next year and will include scholarships offered through the university.
I would like to thank Adrian Cornelius, Jesse Galve, Warren Bryan, Dawit Lemma, Michelle Milkovich, and the entire implementation team for all their great work in operationalizing this value-added solution on our campus. Many thanks too to all of you for encouraging our students to engage with this great new tool.
