Please read this message from USG Staff:
It is with much excitement that we share with you the news
of a student blog being created at USG. Since we are a campus with students from
nine universities we want to create a space where students can come together
and share their experiences, both inside and outside the classroom. The Student
Blog at USG will enable students to document their triumphs, trials, and
everyday lives that makes being a college student so uniquely life changing –
and challenging. The Student Blog will also provide a glimpse of what student
life is like at USG for prospective students. These blogs will be uncensored
and unedited.
We would like to have a student from each of our nine
partner universities represented. Our goal is to have a diverse group of
students ranging in ages, programs and interests. Each blogger will be paid a
$15 stipend per post. Our hope is to have 10 bloggers; each will post once every
two weeks (Monday-Friday only).
If you have any students that may be interested in being a
student blogger, please encourage them to complete the online application. To be
considered, students must be enrolled in a degree program at USG for the
2014-2015 academic year. The deadline to complete the application is Friday, September 19, 2014.
Applicants will be interviewed by a committee from USG’s Communications and
Student Services departments and if selected, they will be required to complete
a training session.
