 BSOSCareerChats-reverse.png

Tuesday, November 2 •  3:00 - 3:45pm  | Virtual Event, RSVP to attend via Careers4Terps

The Joel & Kim Feller Center for BSOS Academic Advising & Career Planning is pleased to host the BSOS Alumni Career Chat series. The Chats connect industry specific alumni/employers with BSOS majors over Zoom.

Andrew Reece, CCJS & GVPT '10 | Senior Crime Analyst, Roanoke Police Department

Andrew Reece joined the Roanoke Police department in 2016 as a crime analyst. Now a senior crime analyst, Andrew concentrates primarily on crime series, trends/patterns, hot spot analysis, and various data requests that come from inside and outside the department. Prior to working in crime analysis, Andrew worked in bank fraud investigations at Wells Fargo, served as a communications officer for the Virginia Tech Police Department, and also did government contract work for the US Department of Justice.

Our alumni wants to hear from our students!  This looks to be an engaging session, and we encourage students to ask questions throughout. Students usually ask questions about their background, classes that were helpful, application tips, etc. Check out these sample questions and bring some to the chat!
