"A typical week for me in the Internal Affairs Bureau of MPD consisted of making sure files were prepared for litigation trials, filings complaints against officers properly and helping the agents transcribe interviews for cases. At the end of the week, I usually went on a ride along because they counted towards our weekly hours and it was fascinating meeting so many different officers and hearing their backgrounds. I enjoyed getting to know my superiors and learning more about the inner workings of a police department, especially the bureau that not many people talk about. It was so interesting to learn more about our system from an office point of view." |
