A Poverty Simulation
On March 1, 2016 and March 8, 2016, the Committee for Interprofessional
and Interdisciplinary Education Strategies (CIPES), in connection with UMB's
School of Nursing and Kaiser Permanente will hold a simulation that
replicates one month in the life of an impoverished individual or family.
Students who participate in one of two available sessions will be assigned a
role and given situations that disadvantaged people typically face.
