One position will be offered for, both, the 2016 summer and fall semesters. It is anticipated that the response to this solicitation will be great, resulting in an extremely competitive selection process. A number of past participants in our internship program have used the opportunity to secure post-graduation jobs in the criminal justice community as both sworn and non-sworn personnel.

Due to the sometimes lengthy process involved in completing required background investigations for candidates, it is imperative that we complete the screening process quickly. Interested current undergraduate students should submit, both, a cover letter and current resume to Mr. Skip Baylor—via email (dbaylor@howardcountymd.gov)—nolater than Friday, March 11, 2016.  After the resumes are received and reviewed, selected candidates will be invited to participate in an in-person interview. Once the interview process is completed, the names of the top candidates will be advanced to our Office of Human Resources for the completion of a required background investigation. A final offer will not be made until the candidate has successfully completed the background investigation.
